We’re excited to share our first matinee with the masses! The Lighthouse Hall goes to the movies with it’s giant movie screen and new sound system. Chairs will line the hall, no need for tickets, but maybe bring a blanket or cushion to sit on. Come early to have chat with friends. Bring a snack or have some of our popcorn. Lighthouse Recreation wants to see you get out and play in our community parks and we are trying to make it easier for you to do just that. Our new Rec Play Boxes are full of sports equipment that can be used to get active with family and friends. Try out badminton, tennis, or soccer. Toss the frisbee or football. Or play some double dutch with the skip ropes. The Rec Play Boxes can be accessed  most weekdays between 9am

On November 10, the hall came alive for Lighthouse Rec’s first family movie night! Folks from all over the area came armed with blankets, comfy chairs, pizza, a couch, and an appetite for what turned out to be a pretty social family viewing of the second Lego Movie. Entrance was by donation and included popcorn and a juice box. Thanks to the Bowser PAC for lending out their popcorn machine and the Bow Horne Bay Community Club for the crash
