On November 10, the hall came alive for Lighthouse Rec’s first family movie night! Folks from all over the area came armed with blankets, comfy chairs, pizza, a couch, and an appetite for what turned out to be a pretty social family viewing of the second Lego Movie. Entrance was by donation and included popcorn and a juice box. Thanks to the Bowser PAC for lending out their popcorn machine and the Bow Horne Bay Community Club for the crash course pop corn training session. A big thanks to the Lighthouse Community Hall Board for their hard work in bringing the screen and equipment to life at the hall. And a big thanks to the community who came out on that crazy rainy day to participate in our grass roots first movie showing.
We want to show more movies, and we can, with help. Lighthouse Rec has access to a healthy catalogue of films of all genre’s and for all ages. We can provide the space, equipment. and support for you to host a community movie night. This can be done by donation or as a fundraiser. If you are interested, we would love to chat.
